Project WET Workshop

Project WET Workshop
Wednesday, April 15, 2009
Schuyler County Cornell Cooperative Extension
Montour Falls, NY

Project WET is a collection of innovative, hands-on, water related activities. The program focuses on peoples' relationship to water throughout their lives. Students learn that water is a shared resource as well as a shared responsibility. Some activity extensions relate to climate change education. The activities are easily incorporated into a school's existing curricula, and are fun for teachers and students. Some activities are already correlated to NYS Science Learning Standards. Project WET is intended for teachers and non formal educators working with young people in grades K 12. Project WET also meets the curricular needs of nature centers, museums, teacher trainings, pre service classes, and community organizations.

Visit www.projectwet.org for more information about this international program.

Participants receive an activity guide with 91 activities, cross-referenced by grade level, topic, subject, time required, setting and teaching methods.

Continuing education credits available.
